Some of these treatments include:

  • Botox injections: Many people know Botox injections are used to hide facial imperfections that come with age. However, Botox is also used in treating neck spasms and preventing migraines.
  • Trigger point injections: Trigger points are “knots” in muscle groups and are one of the most common sources of pain in the human body. Trigger point injections are a great way to release these knots with medicine. Several sites can be treated in the same visit, and it only takes a few minutes to administer these injections.
  • Occipital nerve blocks: This type of injection is administered just above the neck to help block the pain associated with many different forms of headaches.
  • Sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) block: This block is used to prevent pain receptors in the SPG (a collection of nerve cells that are most commonly associated with headaches).
